: Wood (intended)like to make a Greenland-like paddle out of one
: piece of wood. Have seen tons of pictures. BUT..none show if one
: side of the Greenland ends are curved/concave. It looks like
: they might be FLAT on BOTH sides??

The typical Greenland paddle is symmetrical (both sides of each blade are curved in the same manner - no concavity).
An excellent free source for carving a paddle is Chuck Holst's download available at:

For a modest cost you can't beat Brian Nystrom's book.
Be as careful as you can when drawing the outline of the paddle on your wood. That's really the hardest part.
