In looking through the thread, some of you apply epoxy to the paddles, some epoxy and tung oil, lots of variation. My question is this: nobody mentions varnish over the epoxy. Doesn't UV degrade the epoxy? I'm inclined to use a penetrating oil finish, and refresh it from time to time. Will enough water soak a paddle treated thusly to make it a heavy, sodden club? Thanks,
