That's a good idea too, however I am already feeling guilty about the amount of waste generated with just the monofilament line, and shrinkwrap would be even worse. I'm on the hunt for some natural jute or linen 1mm line in the 40lb test range for the lashing on the deck. I've seen some online, but trying to find it locally first. Then, the line can be cut off when it is time to do the fairing, and simply composted. Many will think that is over the top, but to me it just makes good sense to be responsible for our impact. The epoxy resin is bad enough.
