I built a wood frame Yost Sea ranger last year and would like to be able to eskimo roll it, but not sure what additional outfitting is required. I am currently building float bags, sea sock, and deck rigging.
What I don't have is:
-seat (sitting on wooden slats, actually fairly comfortable for the short trips I have done)
-backband
-foot braces or anything for my
-thighs support (I have found I can brace my thighs on the skin quite comfortably.)
Can I learn to roll without these items?
