My Greenlander has a 19" round cockpit, my Disko Bay's is 16" x 22".

If you want a longer cockpit you could do what we did in the class and remove the top of the plywood frame at the front of the coaming and replace it with the masik, we slotted the masik to fit over the frame at the gunwale, pretty strong and gives lots more room for your feet to slide into the boat.
