Hey Toby! Strange looking stuff, hard to tell from just a picture. You're reasonably sure the wood is pretty well dry inside, I assume? My answer was going to be similar to Ross's -- make a test sample. I think I'd be satisfied gluing a few strips together to simulate stripping a hull or deck, then seeing how it cures out.

Test samples are good ..... often great answer deliverers......
