: I am just building the strongback for my guillemot and have cut out
: all the forms. I am just about to cut off the taper on the end
: forms and do an internal stem peice but I am stalled because the
: taper looks like it rounds over and continues over the shear
: line and if I cut it out like that then how do I get the hull
: off the form later? what is the point of it going over the
: shear? I dont know I am prob over thinking this anyone care to
: chime in please?!?

You could try stripping the hull and then taping over the top of the internal stem before you strip te deck.
That way the deck will be free to lift off but a good fit when you come to join the halves. It worked well for me.
Good luck. Les Cheeseman
BTW, I agree that a few dabs of hot glue are good to hold the internal stem pieces in place.
