I was planning on a thru deck bungee and a deck hook type system. Even made the wood hook with 1 wrap of FG. When trying to find the best location for it on the front right side of the coaming, I was holding a paddle up against the coaming lip with my hand and thought, " gee.. that fits just nice holding it there. What if I just made a little spring clip of sorts out of FG and CF that just snaps over the coaming wall and paddle just like my hand was doing. So I made a plywood one quick just to test the theory. Worked great. Holds snug. Easy to put on and take off. One bad thing is that it is a separate part but I thought I could attach a small line to it and tuck it just behind the hip plate. Anyone see a potential problem or hazard with this that I may not be thinking of?
