Hi Mike,

The fabric I use is under 4 ounce, it's not heavy weight by any means. Of course it's top coated with 4 ounce epoxy/fiberglass so the end resulting fabric is roughly similiar in weight to the other fabrics used.

Btw, once the epoxy/glass is applied to the Dacron the combination results in a single modified fabric, not layers.
