Hello Scott,

You know Rob was adamant that I let him post his trip report first, so I am waiting too!!! I'm anxious to hear his version of the story, especially the part where he decided all of a sudden to go swimming. I'm not quite sure that whole story, but I think maybe he saw a fish and wanted to go after it.

Here's the best pic from the trip- waves breaking over Johnson's Reef. Seas were 9-11 feet and breaking waves 18 to 24 was the forecast. I figure they were about 15 feet over Johnson's reef. Wave intervals were veeeery long, so the 9-11 din't feel so bad, but the shoreline was getting pummeled. Some of the best surf we've had in a long time. You can see that Rob was at the bottom of a very long swell and I was half-way up. I surf the reef a lot so I know where the waves will break and went a little closer to check it out.
