I admit to a level of ego involvement at the attention my boats get. When I took my Shearwater 16 Hybrid out for the first time, I was alone, and wondered how I would get my traditional commemorative photo in the new boat. I began to notice a vehicle following me, and the guy hung on for 10 miles to the launch, just to look at the boat. After we talked, I got him to take my photo.
