Who me sarcastic? :) Yeah about $2.50 per hour Aus, but watching him hammer away at the strips is 'interesting', I believe they call that look distressed.
Will the kayak be worth more if he makes it look antique?
Unfortunately he's a carpenter not a cabinet maker and watching his style he might have been more at home building roofs - oh well the final look could be different.
Thanks to all for the replies and I'll try to post pic's of the tied down kayak on my verandah, had to tie it down for the cyclone.
(and I really hope John C is ok? The north copped a bit of wind)
