: the last strip to fit just right. Since this was on the deck, I
: wasn't able to trace it from underneath. What I did was lay a
: piece of masking tape over the hole, draw the outline of the
: hole onto the masking tape, then put the masking tape onto the
: new strip to be trimmed, and all I had to do was cut/plane
: around the lines that I drew. Simple and easy...I'm sure this is
: nothing new, but I haven't seen it anywhere.

Gosh that's a really good idea. I've got a final strip to fit tonight and I'll try this trick.
