Hey Robert,
I can certainly identify with that. I've been thinking seriously about stripping the glass off the outside of my first two boats and going with a single layer of 4oz s glass to cut the weight as much as I can. They both have waaaay too much glass (and epoxy) on them. I'll turn 60 next month and everything I pick up these days seems a lot heavier than it used to be.
Pollen season is trying to kill me this year so I've stayed indoors as much as possible lately. It seems to get worse every year. But it does give me plenty of time to do the home-made wine thing also. Everything from Elderberry to peach and strawberry. But it does take its toll on the mid-section if you're not careful.
Anyway, here's to less pollen (way less) and leisure, downstream, sight-seeing paddles in much lighter kayaks. (with a little something interesting in the thermos)
