Being from Gougeon's hometown, of course I use West. I like how thoroughly they test their product and publish the results.

As for tint- they changed the formula last fall and it no longer has the tint. I haven't tried any yet, but the tech guys say it looks a bit blue to them. I didn't like the "warm natural spar varnish" color of the old 207 because to me it had a greenish tint, not a warm yellow. Of course, if it's naturally blue and they added yellow, voila= green. The bluish tint will look a lot better on carbon fiber than yellow for sure. This is something that may not bother or be noticeable to most people, but valuable information for those that it will bother because you must be really picky.

I used US composites brand and it was a little more viscous, but really sticky, and didn't stay on vertical surfaces as well as West. It also smelled stronger and melted the plastic cups I mixed it in, whereas the West didn't.
