The first four boats that I built I used US Composites (435 medium?). It was cheap and worked ok. I heard some great things about MAS and decided to try it on a BTD "Black Pearl" back in 2007. I haven't used anything else since. All the hardeners mix at a 2:1 ratio so you can tweak the mix for shop conditions. I use a mixture of 1/2 fast - 1/2 slow for just about everything with no blush. It also has very little odor. It wets out cloth very quickly and clearly. It's nice having some of their FLAG resin around in addition to the thinner laminating resin. It's quite thick and great for fill coats, fillets and gluing while using a lot less filler material. I've done ten kayaks/canoes commercially with MAS and see no reason to try anything else.
