: As long as the strip remains rigid I'd just add an extra layer of
: glass to the under side when you're glassing the deck, that'll
: make it strong again. If it's not rigid without glass, then
: you'll need to add wood under the strip to get it rigid.

Thanks for the suggestions, I should be able to beef the majority of it up with some extra glass, however, one of the thin strips (not rigid) is right on the edge where it meets with the hull, so if I was to add a piece of wood to the inside, the deck and hull would not meet up flush at that point. Not sure what to do here.
