Today I called the Collins Company and talked to a sales rep. They said Pacific Albus is a Hybrid Poplar that is comprised of:

1) Populus Tremuloides - Aspen
2) Populus Nigra – Black or Italian Poplar
3) Populus Trichocarpa – Black Cottonwood
4) Populus Maximowiczii – Japanese Poplar

They said Collins does not use GMO (Genetically modified organism), and use natural propagation through cross pollination using the different varieties of Hybrid Populus listed above.
