: Launched a new boat 3 weeks ago. Dyed this one turquoise just like
: the VARDO. Same dye and same technique. Heated the dye on the
: skin with an iron and a heat gun in a few hard to iron places
: Applied Dura-tuff over it. First time I have used Dura-Tuff to
: seal the skin. By the time I got to the water it looked like
: this.

: Two weeks latter there is only a hint of the color left. The boat
: has faded till it is now an extremely pale blue. The color has
: all but faded out and I have no idea why? Anyone seen anything
: like this before? Could the Dura-Tuff somehow be the culprit?

The anecdotal evidence is that, yes, if all else was the same, then the Dura-Tuff was the culprit. I wonder if others have used dye and DT, and what their results were?

Can you tint DT like you can tint Zar? If so, perhaps another coat is in order . . . .
If not, maybe a coat of paint?
