: Okay folks, this is really high-tech. I hope you are all impressed.
: It was done using an ultra-modern CAD program called "pen
: and paper" in my elite drawing room also known as "The
: Lou."
: Anyway, the idea is the workstation rolls out to the porch where
: all sawdust-making is done, and just short enough to store under
: my workbench when done. The center portion of the top is
: interchangeable with all sorts of handy devices, some of which
: are shown in the drawing. (Sorry for the poor scan.)
I like it! Thank god this is an electronic bulletin board and we don't have to touch the drawings coming out of "the Lou". I can't quite read what it says on the Death Laser, is that "Point at Canada"?
If I may, I would concentrate on keeping the tools mounted (interchangably as you've shown) on the main table and leave the folding section as outfeed or just extra space. You might start to get a lot of weight out there and if you end up pushing down on it, things could get ugly. Especially on casters. I'd also like to see something that lifted the casters off the ground when you're in working mode (for safety). I saw something on "this old house" once where they build a work table that you lifted up and a panel could hinge down to keep the casters off the floor, though I can't remember the details. If I remember I'll post it.
