I use the scraper to remove glue and level the surface. When I say, "level the surface"
I've taken care to align strip edges so I don't have anything higher than 1/32". Anything more than that
means I'll cut through the glue line and realign the strip edges.

But cleaning glue lines is the #1 job for scrapers. 60 grit paper will remove glue, but you''ll have a
hard time making a fair surface and you'll spend a lot of time using the sander as an eraser to get the glue.

The glue will heat up and turn rubbery resist removal much more than the surrounding wood. Get rid of all traces
of glue first, then sanding with 60 grit shouldn't take an hour for your whole hull interior.
