I found this online and I'm going to make it. If it doen't work out well then I'm out a few bucks. As far as the portage carts go I'll never buy one until they make the bases a lot closer together and a lot taller. A lot of hikes I do have blow downs, rocks, roots, around boulders and through mud. Carrying is so much easier then dragging a cart that will eventually fall off. A friend of mine had one of the portage carts and we ended up taking it off and putting it in the kayak and carrying the whole lot. Extra weight!! I'd rather take 3 hours to do a 5 mile hike then to drag a kayak to a lake. I don't mind slow hikes with extra breaks. That way I still have energy to burn when I get to the lake. The next project will be the paddle holder and the cargo net or bungies for the front and back. Thanx for the help and I'll make sure to add some pics of my harness project. Hopefully it works well. Now if I can cut my pack weight down by 10 pounds I'll be doing great. Jason
