: What I do is shape a piece of wood that will fill the ends of the
: hull to about 2.5" back from the ends. Epoxy that in with
: thickened epoxy. Then when I go to attach the deck to the hull,
: I tape them together with fiberglass packing tape as everyone
: does. Then, I undo the tips, pry them apart and use a plastic
: knife and put in some thickened epoxy and re-tape them shut. You
: now will have solid tips to drill through for your grab handles
: without doing end pours.

Thanks very much. After I posted my question I did another search, this time through the archives, and a couple of minutes ago I found a 1999 post by you saying just this, and I thought what a great idea to pry the ends apart to slip in some epoxy.
