Btw, a rescue toggle will take "much" more abuse than one used to carry a very light kayak, would need to be stronger rather than not as strong.

I've done several rescues in the past few years, those toggles get some serious abuse trying to get a boat partially filled with water to safety and a huge amount of abuse if the boat entirely fills, worth considering when the toggles are engineered.
