I'd stay away from acetone - it'll soften the epoxy, and that won't help you clean up the mess.
Usually I use Methylated Spirits to clean up tape residue - it doesn't bother the epoxy at all. Mineral Turpentine also works on tape residue, but then you have to clean up the oily residue that's left, and that could prove tricky if you have any pinholes or pores in your epoxy.
