I wetted the ply with hot water, where the bends were the most pronunced. Use high quality ply though, i used bruynzeel hechthout, it even steam bends, so no worries there.

Are you working from plans ? The pinguino 13 sport is not available in plans. Looks like a nice little performer, much wider range of use compared to the duck. I'd prefer building the pinguino if both were available in plans.
