: the Night Heron gave me a faster, straight tracking boat for
: those calm days which still performs well in the rough water. If
: you live on the west side of Lake Michigan, maybe finding rough
: water won't be a problem for you and you'll want the Petrel. You

Very good feedback, thank you. I am wondering if my normal paddling conditions are too flat for the Petrel to shine and maybe the Night Heron is the better choice for me. I was concerned that the boat may have too much boyancy for my weight but maybe not.
