: There's really only one perfect way to protect yourself from
: possible liability and that's don't do it. If that's truly what
: you want in life then that's the answer. You could also not
: worry� about it and do the things you want to do and trust that
: the world is a good place to be in.

: that way so a lawsuit can't touch you personally. Other than
: that, all these disclaimers and warnings will not prevent
: anything if some jerk wants to go after you over something.
: Personally, I think most people want to paddle boats and are
: good people and just want happiness in their lives like you do.

For most small businesses without many assets incorporation is only a slight protection as the owners (has to be more than one) assets are still at risk. Still products liability protection shouldn't be grossly expensive if all you're offering is plans, assuming the boats are well tested and the details are worked out. Juries in the past have looked very dimmly at companies selling untested products.
