It's not? Now you tell me! I usually use painter eyes rather than toggles. When I carry the wood canoe on the roof of the van the painter is anchored to the front of the van and is the backup line in case the boat comes loose on the highway! It also acts as an eary warning if the boat starts to shift on the roof. The boat is so light I tuck it under one arm so toggles wouldn't really be much use for carrying.
