Jhat,
I weigh around 160 also and perhaps that is why I felt the need to add a fixed skeg to the bottom. It's about 3/4" tall in the back and tapers to 1/4" at the front. Now that I know I like it I should make it a little prettier. Overall length is 36". It initially made it a bit more difficult to get turned around quickly while surfing, but it wasn't long until I figured out how to put my turning efforts into play while on the crest of the wave and much of the boat is out of the water.
