I really hate having to read these stories but they are important, even to someone with my experience. Ugly reminder not to take on more than I can paddle. My heart goes out to the parents of both women.

I had Linda out on the lake last Sunday, was windy. I figured the waves weren't too bad so this the occasion would be a chance for her to take on weather she hadn't faced before. She did very well, broke into a beautifully smooth technique that had her looking powerful and confident and man, did she make the VJ sing. The Night Heron I was in did very well also, it always does, 'cept that I was out there with no front hatch. The hatch isn't built yet but I still take the NH out on nice days. Took on a little water but only just enough to convince me to get off the water a little quicker since we were heading to the boat ramp anyway. Thanks for the post, Rob
