Good day Vic,
I have done wood and shell veneers on wood surfboards with no problems for the 'glass adhering. Bloodwood is a very oily wood and there could be a slight chance that it could have problems adhering, but it should be okay, especially in veneer thicknesses. By the way, FYI- Bloodwood turns brown over time with UV exposure so be sure to use a good UV topcoat.
I agree with Rob- sharpen a chisel and shave the globs off, OR you could use a straight razor but not slicing- use it like a cabinet scraper with the blade upright and scrape back and forth to scrape away the globs.
I would really like to see a pic of your inlays.
