: WOod post a picture If I
: knew how, vic in Kansas ( what's an URL address?) I have pics on
: My Computer.
A URL (uniform resource locator) address is one of those 'www. . .' Internet addresses.
This bulletin board does not actually store the pictures you see with the messages. Instead it stores the information about where on the web the file for the picture is located. The internet provider who gave you an email address may have already set aside a personal web page for you. Or they may do so if you ask them.
Many photofinishers will convert film negatives to digital images and store those on their computers. They give you the web address so you can view them. Put that address in the box at the bottom of the 'Reply' screen and that should do the trick.
If all else fails send back a call for help as a new message. There are several folks who have web pages and who willl be happy to 'host' your pics. You email the pics to them, wait for tem to add them to their web spaces and send back to you the URL of the picture.
Theoreticallly you could link to your image file on your home computer--but it is a really bad idea. You would need to keep your computer online all the time and you would expose everything in it to everyone's view. Kiss security goodbye. Then when the hackers get in. . .
Hope this helps
