: In search of a cheap skin material I found a Polyester fabric with

I know the fabric you're talking about - my mother does reupholstery. I think if I were going to try it, I'd paint the interior like it were a typical nylon/polyester skin and put it on inside out. BUT- that's just guessing.

My first question, how do you plan on closing it up? Sewing? Glue? etc?

But really - the PVC Coverene is only $8.50/yard or something like that. Can't get it locally, so you have to pay for shipping (was about $20 for me from Mauritzon). But, it still weren't killer.
