In Response To: Material: High density foam VS close cell (Bryan Ledahl)

: I've been looking locally for some minicel/closed cell foam for my
: bulkheads and all I've come up with is some "high
: density" foam from our local fabric shop. (joannn fabric)
: They couldn't really tell me anything about it when I called
: 'em, just wondering if there's anything special about minicel
: foam that I should be looking for when I go to look at this
: stuff. I've never used it before. Thanks

High density foam refers to the 'hardness' of the foam.
Closed cell foam is referring to its 'waterproofness'.
High density foam can be closed cell foam, but not necessarily.
