Many years ago there was a company selling styrofoam shoes that supposedly allowed walking on water. Once you got them on, a pretty good trick as it worked out, you could temporarily stand on them until a tiny wave came by and you fell, stability was a serious problem. Walking on them was the idea. I've seen vids of people doing it, never saw anyone actually do it. We had a set a neighbor had for a season and most could never get up on them from the water, had to get onto them from a dock, if (when) you fell you swam back to the dock. Looked like fun, was great exercise, never actually worked.
