Thanks for the reassurance on that Dan. i tried the hatch cover first 1500 grit, 3M machine rubbing compound then Finnesse-it. it came out automotive quality so i am really pleased! working on the rest of the boat now

: it's cured for a few days wetsand it to at least 1200, then buff
: it to what ever gloss you want. We use automotive rubbing
: compounds followed by swirl removers. Standard stuff. You can
: buff either by hand or with power buffers. You had the right
