: So nice there (a world apart
: from rather depressing Boulder Reservoir, out on the prairie)
: and perfect conditions for a 3 hr paddle.
With it's very limited parking, small crowds are guaranteed at Gross Reservoir :)
Wellington lake near Bailey , and Jefferson Lake in South Park are smaller than Gross,
but beatiful places to paddle. The upper stretches of Glenwood Canyon make for some
great flatwater paddling also. However, the overall lack of good flatwater paddling along
the front range is partly responsible for my waning interest in kayaking. However, the skiing,
bicycling, and motorcycling here more than make up for it.
Here's some pics of the lakes / Rivers mentioned above...

:It did everything we wanted it to do. Tracked straight,
: even in a good crosswind - but still turned almost effortlessly.
: Very stable and comfortable - very. And it paddled great with
: just Catherine in it - a novice paddler (but a professional
: athlete), too.
My first kayak was a Folbot non folder built from a kit. It influeced how I build boats today.
Too often paddlers are interested only in narrow, high performance kayaks while ignoring
stable, relaxing boats like yours. These boats bring a different but rewarding dimension to the sport.
: Of course, we haven't had it out in waves or howling wind, so . . .
If you want to get out in plenty of high winds with constant shifts in wind direction due to the mountains, try Dillon.
: Anyway, I was pretty pleased with the paddling, the scenery and the
: company, and I have to give the boat a big thumbs up.
Nice work as always !
Cheers, Tom
