I would add charts, chart case, and, if you have one, one of Chuck Sutherland's Small Craft Nav-aids.

If you haven't seen a Nav-aid, they are very cool. It is a rougly 4x5" plastic card with referece line, blank compass rose, and a piece of monofilament in the middle of the compas rose. Prior to leaving on your trip, you orient the card on the magnetic deviation on your chart, so that you mark magnetic North as if it were true North on the card. You can then put the center of the Nav-aid's compass rose on where you are, pull the monofilament out to the feature you want to get to, and read off the real compass heading, without doing any deviation calculation. Cool. And, you can use your Sharpie permanent marker to mark of the scale of the chart on the monofilament. Pull the monofilament between any two points to then have a pretty accurate estimation of the distance between two point. The device also has a lanyard to attach to your chart case. The Sharpie cleans off with rubbing alcohol, so you can use it over and over in different areas.

Very cool device, and I probably haven't done it proper justice in describing how it works.
