Skin-on-Frame: Advice on adhesive?

Hey all....

I'm building a Yost Sea Tour 17 and have decided on using the dowel and adhesive method to join the stringers/gunwales to the cross sections. I wondering about using regular Titebond III wood glue since it has a 4,000 lb/sq. in strength and is waterproof. Has anyone else used this or should I go with the more expensive route and use epoxy? Are there any other semi-economical adhesives that people have had success with? Thanks!!
