The Solstice kevlar layup drills with an intact round hole requiring utility blade cleanup for the fibers hanging out but that was a 8mm hole not the 1" plus for air switch and bilgewater outlet mushroom.
A 1" drill is expensive, the extra circumference may produce more tearing than the 8mm. I'll look at hole saws. Try a round disc drill used for cutting dowel holes in furniture ?
As an immediate cure, used superglue on the 8mm holes for sealing the layup. At that time at Imperial Dam, there was no electricity for drilling larger holes allowing NAPA or Wal resin thcikness. Does Wal superglue last or chip out as too brittle ?
I had thought warming the layup would cause layup memory allowing moderate pressure returning the depression back to 'as new' ?
