Dave, That's the sort of info I am looking for. Like you I don't want to wait a long time for it to dry but the durability is the main issue so I would wait for the right paint.

My local hardware store has a good paint department and Dianne will mix anything for me. She has always been open to my ideas too. Not afraid to try something different either. But I am just trying to decide what might be worth trying.

I read about someone using Aircraft sealer and paint and I sure it is a good choice it's just pricey.
