Hi Mick,

That was a conscious choice Rowan made and acknowledged to the paddlers later. He could have done nothing and all three of them would lose the wave or he could slingshot himself back on it at their expense which he chose. All in all a great group of folks to be sharing waves with. The Zamboni move is reserved for those that have truly overstayed their time.
