Last night when I arrived home, I notice one of the hatch covers hanging down from one of my kayak on the trailer. A close looked revealed the reason. After using the boats last weekend ,I popped all the hatch covers loose on top of all the boats to air out.
Are new to use one year old dog had jumped up and chewed about a 2 inch corner off the hatch cover. So last night I spent about 2 hours matching walnut and pine pieces back in place. I should have known that something was up when he didnt meet me in the drive when I arrived home. I found him under the kayak trailer. Thats the great thing about wood kayaks, I have not come across anything that has not been repairable.
