: No he is a great dog and the hatch is repaired and back on the

Actually in some ways a dog that's not fond of water may be a giant advantage, he won't be leaping into the water chasing something then. I've spent lots of time trying to get one lab or another back into various boats, fun lifting an almost 100 lb. dog out of the water ;)
