I'm wondering if I'm paddleing incorrectly. I don't recall ever having my forward stroke pull my forward in the kayak. Granted, I do use a greenland style paddle, but still, unless I was racing or something, why put that much pressure on the paddle for a forward stroke? If you have good knee braces the need for foot braces is all but eliminated. Grevity is all I seem to need to keep from sliding forward.
I also have tight fitting kayaks - that helps too.
