: either. That's another step that I find unnecessary with more
: rollers, mixing / clean-up etc. and as you say - another
: sanding. Some epoxy sellers recommend a pre-coat but I think
: it's because they want to insure good wet out using rollers
: later. Whereas, you can do the whole thing in one easy shot with
: a squeegee. I always wet my surface well in advance with alcohol
: to check for any glue spots. Once again, non of these methods
: are absolute, you develop techniques and habits that work well
: for you.
West recommends pre-coat because the heat of the cure will cause outgassing, trapping bubbles under or in your glass layer.
