I have used both methods for epoxy application, Malcolm. I have found that using the squeegee offers me a faster way of applying the stuff with good results. Rolling does offer a finish that seems to use less epoxy but takes more time...not always good for me since I tend to work with larger batches of epoxy. If I had a choice and time...I'd use the roller more often and probably toss in some squeegee use for areas that won't layout well with a squeegee. Time is the only characteristic that I see as a difference between both methods. That said, I think while I am building Linda's Solace 16 EX (her 50th Bday gift from me), I will use the roller.
