It's my take on Henry Rushton's "Igo" Canadian style canoe.
15' long x 30" wide, built with WRC stringers, bent Ash ribs and with Redwood trim. Weighs about 36lbs.
The Igo is one of the more user friendly of the Canadian Canoe models that Rushton sold, the Ugo and Arkansaw Traveller being two other, similar, boats. All three were narrow, by modern standards, but the Igo has noticeably less deadrise than the others, and should be more stable.
I developed the offsets from drawings and various photographs, comparing them to John Gardner's Arkansaw Traveller offsets, which he - vastly more skilled than I'll ever be - acquired from the same sources.
I only build these things because I need the attention, so feel free to comment!
