Nice stuff. I've wanted to build one of these for a while.

If they are heavy, what about skinning the bottom to save weight?

know anyone whose made a decent one with a skin covering? It looks to me like some decent rails, a timber deck and skin bottom would be a good idea.

Your thoughts?
